Legislative – The legislative of the Order governs all laws, rule, or regulation for all its singular branches and departments.
Biennial Movable Conference (BMC) – The Biennial Movable Conference for The Grand United Order of Odd Fellows in American and Jurisdiction is our Grand Lodge and Grand Household bi-yearly conference for all Lodges and Households. The BMC for the American Jurisdiction is where we go to learn more so about the Order and how it is operated and learn new ways to better serve our members and the committees that we are located in. The BMC is also where all law, or proposition passed affecting, changing, altering, amending, repealing, or abrogating any organic or fundamental law, rule or principle of the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows in America and Jurisdiction.
Executive and Judiciary – The Committee of Management is the executive and judiciary of the Order. They shall have exclusive control of the management. government. and administration of the business affairs of the Order with the enforcement of its laws, and the execution of its purposes generally. This is the highest judicial branch and power in the Order in America and Jurisdiction.

Branches – The Grand United Order of Odd Fellows in American and Jurisdiction has several components that makes up the Order. The branches include the Lodges, Households of Ruth, Past Grand Councils, Past Most Noble Governors Chambers, Patriarchy, Juveniles, and Marching Club.

Committee of Management – The Committee of Management holds the executive and judicial powers of the Order, which shall be composed of nine members, consisting of a Grand Master, a Deputy Grand Master, a Grand Secretary, a Grand Treasurer, and five Grand Directors, who shall be elected at the Biennial Movable Conference (B.M.C) every two years.

Areas – The term Areas for The Grand United Order of Odd Fellows in American and Jurisdiction represents how the Order is separated. Each Area is made up of several states per Area. The separation into the various areas allows for better management the Order and the various Districts that they manage. Within these Areas there are leaders that are assigned to assist with the mentoring and supporting of the Districts Grand Lodges, District Grand Household of Ruth, Lodges, and Households.

Districts – The term Districts for The Grand United Order of Odd Fellows in American and Jurisdiction represents the various states within the Order and the Areas. Each state has two District Grand Lodges one for the brothers and one for the sisters. With two District Lodges, there are two leaders the District Grand Master for the brothers and the District Most Noble Governor with each having their own District By-laws.
The District Lodges and District Household assist with mentoring, set up of new Lodges and Households. The District Lodges and District Household main force is the supporting the operation of the Order, local Lodges, and local Households. The state of South Carolina is in Area II and District 13 for the brothers and District 22 for the sisters. Within an Area and District there is a hierarchy that oversees the area, state, lodges, and households.
