In the sweltering heat of South Carolina it feels good to have a cool breeze in your home yet unfortunately many do not! Noble Grand Bro. Derek Gamble and his brother Philip Kelly came up with the most sensible solution…..buy some air conditioning units and give them to those who need them! They began in Sumter and now the efforts have become a statewide initiative.  Along with his non profit, Clean Slate Reentry program the brothers have agreed to take up this cause !!!  The goal is 500 units to be distributed across SC getting to the Elderly and Disabled. 

I am pleased to announce that #WaymanLodge1339 has already come up with enough to purchase a brand new air conditioning unit to be installed in the home of a community elder or someone who is disabled! The keyword is #Community !!! The #oddfellowstattoosociety has pledged to donate 4 more and who knows what the future may hold, we might donate more than that ! This is the beginning of our lodge’s “Oddfellows Golden Rule Giveaway” for the summer. Update: Wayman lodge #1339 has successfully acquired three sponsors from the Columbia,SC area ! These individuals are tattoo shop owners who each donated enough for one unit !!!

I’m never surprised at the strength of human decency displayed although in this world it is less often shown….Through Friendship Love and Truth we can truly display what the entire world is missing…..
