The first day of March shall be known as Peter Ogden Day throughout the jurisdiction of the Committee of Management and shall be observed by such demonstrations and ceremonies as would be suitable and fitting to the memory of the founder of the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows in America.
The third Sunday in May for Thanksgiving Peter Ogden Day shall be observed and celebrated in union with and be an integral part of the Thanksgiving Services. at the same time and place and in the same manner; that the same delegate or representative shall represent the respective branches for both.
The Second Sunday in June of each year was formerly approved and proclaimed by the Committee of Management at its session Thursday, July 14, 1927 as Ruth Day or Founder’s Day in honor of Patrick H. Reason who is regarded as the patron saint of the Household of Ruth.
