The Improved Order of Patriotic Odd Fellows (I.O.P.O.F.) invites you to become part of a growing grassroots Friendly Society dedicated to carrying the enduring principles of Odd Fellowship into a new, modern, and forward-looking era of friendship, service, leadership, community empowerment, and family legacy.
District Grand Lodge No. 13 of South Carolina, formerly affiliated with the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows in America, has separated from the Grand United Order to pursue a new direction and help build a renewed expression of Odd Fellowship through the Improved Order of Patriotic Odd Fellows.
This new direction allows District Grand Lodge No. 13 and its 501(c)(3) charitable mission to remain organizationally separate while the Improved Order of Patriotic Odd Fellows develops as an independent fraternal order and pursues its own recognition under Section 501(c)(8), subject to applicable legal and IRS requirements.

Through an agreement between District Grand Lodge No. 13 and the Improved Order of Patriotic Odd Fellows, the new Order has been authorized to carry forward the legacy represented by more than 900 historic Lodge and Household names and numbers, providing a strong historical foundation for organizing and expanding the new Order.
While District Grand Lodge No. 13 focuses its charitable efforts on broader community impact, the Improved Order of Patriotic Odd Fellows has been created to further the work and principles of Odd Fellowship through a new organizational structure designed for today’s communities and future generations.
Our vision is to build a grassroots movement across the United States and beyond, bringing together people committed to strengthening communities, developing leaders, mentoring future generations, serving those in need, preserving history, building family legacy, and creating something meaningful that can endure for generations.

The Improved Order of Patriotic Odd Fellows welcomes people of all races, cultures, and backgrounds who share a sincere commitment to fellowship, service, personal growth, leadership, and stronger communities.
Membership opportunities begin at age 16.
Adults ages 18 and older may join the Order independently in accordance with its membership requirements. Youth ages 16 and 17 may also join the Improved Order of Patriotic Odd Fellows together with their parent or legal guardian. This family-centered approach allows young people to begin their journey in Odd Fellowship alongside the guidance, participation, and support of their families.
We believe that rebuilding strong communities begins with rebuilding connections between generations. By welcoming youth alongside their parents and guardians, the Order creates opportunities for families to learn together, serve together, grow together, and build a legacy together.

We are seeking founding members, organizers, community leaders, professionals, veterans, educators, entrepreneurs, young adults, parents, guardians, families, mentors, and everyday people with a heart for service.
